DanceWearCorner.com is an online discount dance supply store looking to increase their sales and grow their business. Every month, SGG carefully plots out a creative strategy and sends out an email blast to their internal prospect list with a call-to-action of a discounted offer at the website. In February of 08, we decided to jump on an opportunity to increase their internal list by using the popularity of the ABC Show Dance War to our advantage. We created the offer around the outcome of the show. If Bruno’s team won, we would offer buyers $5 off any purchase. If Carrie Ann’s team won, we would offer buyers free shipping. We announced this offer in an email blast to their internal list, but we didn’t stop there…. We also blogged on dance sites we researched, submitted the offer to online coupon sites, and posted the offer to social networking sites such as Digg and del.icio.us. Not only was there a huge increase in traffic to the site, but sales where record-breaking. The sales for the week compared to the prior year increased 62 %! Their internal buyers list increased to 20 percent in the week we ran the promotion! This is just one example of how SGG is always looking for opportunities to create viral campaigns for our clients. Harvesting a qualified list of prospects is one of the most impactful ways of driving consistent revenue.
