Anyhow, if you’re familiar with SGG, you may be a little unfamiliar with a few faces you see below. That’s because the company was purchased by Matt Weber in October of 2007. Since then, things have started to move at a much faster pace as Matt is shaking things up a bit and pushing the team to exceed your expectations and go above and beyond on each project we work on. What does that mean for you? That means you get much more than just a website now. You get the complete marketing sales machine that comes with it. That’s the new SGG difference.

Matt Weber - President

This is the man we fondly refer to as “the boss.” Matt has an extensive background in direct marketing with more than 20 years in the industry. That means he knows more about marketing and what works and what doesn’t than most people care to know. Before SGG, Matt was the VP of Internet Marketing Initiatives for Dynetech Corporation in Orlando and led an innovative team of creatives to discovering new ways to use the internet to turn leads into direct sales. In fact, as proof that he really is a good boss, two of his former employees from Dynetech are now happily employed at SGG. Now, at SGG he fuses those same direct marketing principles with the latest in web development to create sites for our clients that become a multifunctional sales platform that works 24 hours a day 7 days a week, generating measurable income for your business. Word of advice… if there are sweets in the office, don’t stand in the hallway between his office and the kitchen… you will get run over.

Pam Weber - Vice President, Strategic Initiatives

As the VP of Strategic Initiatives, Pam oversees the long-term planning for the organization and guides key vendor relationships. So what does that mean exactly? It means while the rest of us are focused on the day-to-day success of your projects, Pam is focused on the long-term success of SGG. Pam also oversees the company’s finance and human resource functions. If we stray from the path in the slightest, Pam’s always there to give us a little push back to where we need to be. But don’t let her sweet demeanor fool you… we’ve discovered her love for video games is a little obsessive. That’s right… she’s a closet nerd and plays a mean Guitar Hero… With a teenager at home the musical challenges never stop and Pam is still looking for her first complete song on the advanced level so she can put some visiting teenagers in their place!

Mandy Austin - Office Manager

Sweet, sweet Mandy. She’s always there with a smile on her face and a helpful hand. But beware… this mother of two boys isn’t afraid to put on her game face and put you in the corner if you misbehave. We’re all yes mam and no mam when she starts cracking the whip. Mandy has her hands in just about every part of the business from payables and billables to our favorite part… payroll. If you ever need something from SGG, Mandy is a good place to start. Word of advice… if you need something… chocolate goes a long, long way.

Tracy Jerry - Creative Content Manager

Have you ever tried writing about yourself in third person? It’s weird. I don’t like it. Here’s the big secret. I’m the writer. Every little word you see produced by SGG, most likely I’ve written it. Emails, websites, ads, I keep pretty busy writing away every day… all day. Sometimes at 5 a.m. Sometimes at midnight… as long as I can write in my pajamas and fuzzy slippers, it’s all good. I can get a life someday… or at least write about it. Word of advice… I am not addicted to coffee. I just enjoy drinking 8 cups a day…

Frances Virgilio - Director Of Sales

Frances makes hyperactive children look like they’re asleep. We honestly don’t know where she gets her energy, and frankly, we don’t care as long as she continues to cook for us. Whether it’s flan on Monday and cake on Tuesday or breakfast with sausages and eggs on Wednesday, wow… getting a little hungry here. Anyhow, Frances is your main point of contact when you contact us so when you talk to her be sure to tell her your favorite food… there’s a good chance when you meet she’ll make it for you… just remember sharing is caring. Speaking of caring… Frances will take care of everything. She’ll help you find ways to grow your business while keeping within your budget parameters. Word of advice… don’t give her sugar or caffeine. Trust us, she doesn’t need it.

Chris Nielsen - Project Manager

So your project manager is 6’7”, 300 pounds and use to play offensive tackle for Kansas… deadlines are looming and he’s walking toward you to ask about your progress on that website you’re a little behind in. Think fast! What do you do? A. Put your hands over your ears and start rocking back and forth softly singing “I’m a little teapot.” B. Make a run for it, hopefully old football injuries will stop him before he catches you. C. Break down and cry while begging for an extension. The answer is, of course… none of the above. You make sure you are never, ever in this situation. Duh. Word of advice… 6’7” is a perfectly average height. The rest of us are just really short.

Allan Mclaughlin - Technical Director

If you ever bump into Allan, you’ll probably wonder why he always looks so tired. Well, Allan has the job of fixing things and running maintenance at all hours of the night. He’s our tech king and loves to answer phone calls at 2 a.m. if you have a question and can’t sleep. Technical problems got you down? Don’t know which end of the computer to throw out the window first? Allan can help… he’s pretty strong. Word of advice… Be nice to the man who can shut off your email.

Jeff Hillis - Senior Programmer

Jeff is our environmental conscience. He drives an electric car made of aluminum or something, doesn’t eat beef, and likes nature. Isn’t that nice? We’re pretty sure that just makes him Canadian, but he doesn’t respond well to “eh” and “a boat.” Weird. Maybe we need to work on our accents. Anyhow, don’t let all that make you think that Jeff is all green. He’s been working in technology since at least before Al Gore invented the Internet. Jeff is the guy the creatives go to when we have an idea about a site and we want to know if it’s possible or not. If it’s not, he invents a way to make it possible. Word of advice… His favorite song is the Canadian national anthem. Go on… sing it the next time you see him.

Marcos Tryzmel - Senior Programmer

OK. So what if Marcos still thinks it’s 1985, and he still has a shot at being the next singer for Van Halen? Of course, if he continues to sing out loud all day long, we’re going to be the ones “jumping.” The good news is if there was a superhero that could read and develop code, Marcos would be it. He can read it, speak it, and write it, and even translate it into Spanish. If only he could get over his musical dreams and give us some peace once and awhile… is this what you wanted, Sammy Hagar? Is this what you wanted, man? Word of advice… Do not… I repeat… do not challenge him to a sing off. It’s embarrassing and it hurts us.

Christina Martinez - Account Coordinator

Don’t let her cool exterior fool you, we’ve seen the true Christina and the true Christina gets really excited over reports and reading Google Analytics from our clients’ sites. It’s a little embarrassing… we’ve watched her refresh her screen over and over again after an email blast was sent out so she could literally watch the numbers climb as people opened the email and clicked through back to the site. But good for her and you… she’s found her happy place is knee deep in your reports so we get our information quickly and in an unbelievably organized manner. If you need anything, or have a question about something, Christina is your best bet! Word of advice… Don’t be surprised if your information comes back neatly filed and alphabetized.

Michael Scott - Programmer

As if one singer in the group wasn’t enough… this duet between Marcos and Mike needs to end. Just because you have headphones on doesn’t mean we can’t hear you sing… badly we might add. Mike is that rare creative stuck in the body of a techie. He’s creative and he can write code. We don’t get it either, but it makes for some interesting conversation. His good eye for design combined with his ability to build your website helps him perfect and polish every project we work on. Word of advice… Don’t ask us what “squirrel” means… we don’t know either… but he seems to use the term in the same manner the smurfs used “smurf.”
